The Nightwatch Lighthouse

One evening, I walked along a pink sandy beach
The clouds on the horizon looked like melting cotton candy
The sea breeze carried the sweetness left by the sun's lingering warmth

I walked along the coast, on and on, until dusk deepened
The stars lit up, one by one
Then I saw a lighthouse in the distance, quietly watching over the edge of the sea
As if it were saying to me — It's okay, take your time, I'll wait for you.
